I'm up for it.

The Leonids ~5 years ago or so were breathtakingly awesome. Last time
I saw Perseids, they weren't that cool, but still quite pretty.

Where at?

I've done:
* Twin Peaks hill in SF
* Borel Hill in regional park near Palo Alto on Skyline (360 degree
view of entire bay area, even out to Santa Cruz [barely] on clear
days; highest peak for 50 miles, above cumulonimbus level)

Main impacts IMO are being above most cloud cover, amount of fog, and
amount of light pollution.

Cold weather gear is of course a must at that elevation, most
especially something to cut wind.
