Yes, I am interested. I have some Geiger counters, which are fun to play with. Also, it's really easy to interface a 600 volt geiger-meuller tube to 5 volt logic, with only resistors!<br>

They're only one way to sense radiation, there are a few others, which I'm not as familiar with and I'd like to learn about. <br>
Note that this is important science to safeguard, New York City has outlawed Geiger Counters without a permit on the grounds that there is no reason for the general public to have them and they could cause a panic. Never mind that they were invented 105 years ago! (This is a very scary attempt to limit information by controlling one's ability to analyze one's own environment!)<br>

If you want to test things I have some harmless test samples as well as some very old smoke detector parts that make radiation nicely. Also have a coolidge x-ray tube, but I haven't hooked it up yet. I have made x-rays with an old TV diode tube though, it's really easy to wire up.<br>

I also have all the stuff for a simple cloud chamber, and I haven't had the chance to do it yet.<br>

If anybody wants to play with atoms let me know!<br>

P.S. All this stuff is harmless, unless you EAT a sample or something. X-rays can be dangerous, but are not anywhere even close to being as dangerous as people think!<br>
