<div>Perhaps "deem awesome" wasn't the best way of putting it, but isn't that sort of what we do when we accept new members? The individual who wants to become a member usually proves themselves in some way or another, offering to teach a class, helping out with a project or simply not being a douchebag are some examples I've seen. You're certainly not required to do something that makes people go ooh and aah over.</div>

From what I've been able to gather, you get to block consensus (oh boy) and contribute to keep the space going. Well, for a while we were talking about putting it an electronic lock system or replacing the locks. When keys were first handed out, I do know that none of us expected that we'd be using the same keys and locks eight months later.<br>
