Super. I had hoped to make the meeting, but work kept me late. What did I miss? I know there are a lot of other people who didn't make the meeting last night who have a stake in this. The minutes don't say anything at all about it. Then again, I haven't seen the notes. Where are they posted anyway?
You should both have gotten to the meeting on time last night.

On Wed, Jul 8, 2009 at 11:34 AM, Christie Dudley <longobord@gmail.com> wrote:
Do we even have an election procedure in place? I'm thinking in terms of having a plan to send out paper/email ballots, timeline for campaigning and voting, plan for avoiding fraud/verifying legitimacy of ballots, etc.

We've done the announcement bit, but it occurs to me that nobody really knows what to do from here. We definitely don't ever get enough members at a meeting to have a quorum. (And I think laws saying that even folks that aren't able to make it to a meeting should have the opportunity, although IANAL, so I couldn't say for sure.)
It's kind of polite to have your name taken off the roles. Although we now have a process to drop people who disappear, it'll take 3 months, during which time the number needed for a quorum for legally mandated elections is skewed by that.
When are our legally mandated elections? We've had an empty board seat for a while.
