<p>It was mentioned earlier that people would be able to use whatever calendaring software they want. To be clear, the current design allows exporting a read-only iCalendar feed. Manipulating (adding, editing, removing) events would (a) require a totally different design than what's been discussed thus far, and (b) a CalDAV service.</p>
<p>Manipulating the data, would only be possible through the wiki, by marking a page as an event and formatting the relevant details based on a well-defined schema. </p>
