</div>Well, the main place in SF where you can pick up CALTRAIN easily is SOMA<br>
(South-Of-Market-Avenue). Rents in the less trashy parts of SOMA are<br>
quite high due to other Mountain View commuters. And the more trashy<br>
parts of SOMA (6th Street, for example) are very trashy; expect to sweep<br>
used needles off your building front steps.<br>

Living near the 22nd Street Caltrain stop might be more viable; you<br>
could live in Dogpatch or Potrero Hill, which more interesting<br>
neighborhood, less expensive, and more accessible to the Mission.<br>
<br>
You don't want to live in Bayshore even though it's close to Caltrain.<br>
Not only does it take you forever to get to anywhere else in the City,<br>
but it's also still quite a high-crime area and nobody will want to<br>
visit you (cheap, though).<br>
