I propose a card as part of orientation. Contents of the card would
be something to the effect, "To help defray costs of electricity
& rent etc we ask that all non-members make a small donation
into the donation box each time they use the space." <br>
Just my 2 cents worth, larger than a lot of people's donations.<br>

introduce new people. Actually doing something in the space,
using the tools, or interacting in a classroom made me feel much
more like a part of the community, and entitled to use the space
than saying my name at a Tuesday meeting and then having to sit

Monday night soldering is the
activity I usually recommend
to people.<br>
Hands-on, newbie friendly.
It's still worth doing
