Is there a problem with just putting up cameras other than the obvious "oooOOOOOOoooo, lets hack that!" or the "waaaaaaah! I'm a 1337 hax0r, I don't WANNNA be on camera!"

There's a long tradition at noisebridge of respecting people's privacy in the space. You could ask for that to be rehashed, but unless there's been a big cultural shift on that, you'd end up having *loooots* of discussion at meetings.

I would be 100% fine with cameras...especially if we rig them to detect awesome as it happens...like make beacons that alert the camera system that it's time to increase the frame rate and resolution of the camera because we're about to do something that needs to be documented for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Noisebridge
Hello everyone. Recently there have been a rash of thefts at the
Noisebridge space, including cash, a phone, a camera, and a laptop.
Please do not leave your valuables unattended at the space, even when
you are just leaving to grab a burrito or just going to the space's
bathroom.

Also, if you are at the space until very late (or rather, early in the
morning), please be aware of your surroundings and try to leave in
groups since it's a sketchy neighborhood.

If you see sketchy people hanging out at the space or have had things
stolen, please email me or call/text me at 512-699-7597.
