<p>I meant more that if someone buzzes up then you don't have to buzz them in. If someone lets themself in it's way different, totally fuzzier.</p>

That can be tough. If a guy looks drunk or obviously sketchy then it is easier, but socially it is difficult to look somebody in the face and say "I don't trust you".<br>

I don't like "I can't let you in because of policy" but perhaps some flexible variation of that might help?<br>

Not that I like it but I'm not sure what would work best.<br>
