When a dev roots and packages a stock rom, they aren't removing<br>
CarrierIQ, simply because no one knew about it? This is an<br>
interesting question that might become obsolete very fast since the<br>
source for android has been released. I assume that one can build<br>
one's own android system, and getting device drivers is going to be<br>
the real problem, but maybe someone else can tell me better.<br>

I also bought a Coby Kyros 8125 tablet and found there were no roms<br>
for it; it has 2.3.3 on it and the Gingerbreak exploit does not work<br>
for it. I'd like to learn how to root an android system manually,<br>
from scratch, using the android SDK; I already spent some time<br>
checking out various tutorials but I haven't completed a root of it.<br>
