<p>There will never stop being a free option to use noisebridge. It is because I care about this so much that I spend my monies on a membership.</p>

Make it $1 a month tops and maybe, just maybe I (and the other people who work really hard, but I won't speak for them) at NB but can't afford a membership wouldn't be so opposed to it. I sure as blueberries won't be told that I have to pay to go to NB.<br>

Hhhhmmm... well I like RFID because of it's simplicity. Less temptation to get bogged down in advanced security system hacking (not that a lot of the ideas aren't totally excellent). <div><br></div><div>Possibly give out RFID cards with an accompanying mylar pouch to prevent remote scanning? Of course, organizing the cards and pouches to give to people will cost money and extra time.<div>

</div></div>There has been some opposition in the past (and I suspect we'd see it<br>
again) to an RFID-based system. The concern I heard voiced most often<br>
was that the RFID device could be queried outside of Noisebridge,<br>
enabling meat-space tracking of members.<br>

That said, this idea could be just as awesome with other<br>
authentication token types.<br>
