Are you saying it's Ok to put members' belongings in the trash if you find them on the floor? I propose a purgatory shelf where we move random unclaimed clutter. If it doesn't get moved onto other shelves after x time, it goes on the hack shelf.<div>

I'm sorry to say that I witnessed this happening, and said something and moved the stuff back. It was not an oogle, tweaker, or a random person who moved the stuff out of the member area and into the trash area. It was a few of our own fellow Noisebridgers who didn't want stuff on the floor in the member shelf area during the meeting last week. I had a feeling there may be repeat performance.<div>
<br></div><div>I agree that the member shelves could be cleaner, but under no circumstances should things be put in the trash from that area. I'm sure there is a solution to cleaning the ancient cruft that doesn't involve the loss of the members' personal projects.<br>

It's becoming increasingly clear to me that Noisebridge has jumped the<br>
shark somewhat. The people I find myself most running into there are<br>
not into technology, hacking, or really Noisebridge. I've found them<br>
to be mostly belligerent, uninterested in rational conversations, and<br>
seemingly trying to push various political agendas.<br>
<br>
I'm getting tired of seeing the Hackerspace that I worked so hard to<br>
help build, fall apart, both socially and physically.<br>
Like a radically-inclusive cell membrane in heavily-salinated water,<br>
new influences are rushing in from all directions and we're beginning<br>
to pop. The organelles that were keeping the cell working are being<br>
pushed out, and I feel like we're falling apart.<br>
<br>
I'm tired of fighting entropy all the time, just to keep the status quo.<br>
I miss the Noisebridge I came to know and love.<br>
<br>
The people and the technology are still out there -- we may be moving<br>
apart, but I suspect we'll reform as the right conditions form.<br>
