Yep, there are many people who come in and do nothing productive with their time. I would diagnose about 90 percent of Noisebridge with ADD if that were the case. Maybe perhaps if there were more desktops and laptops for everyone to use, this wouldn't be a problem, seeing as we have so many of them lying around, again collecting dust.
Now may be a good time to respond by saying what I was working on is the Community for Human Excellence and Resources (C.H.E.R.) project. It pretty much covers everything under the sun in better defining the culture of the Noisebridge community. Feel free to stop me, because after all some may not consider that hacking.... but I will say in my defense, Noisebridge needs C.H.E.R.
I got my inspiration after a guy at the Country Club, a sober space in the Castro, told me how they allow drunk people to come in and hang out and drink, but they heavily discourage it and know how to make people who are drunk feel very thoroughly uncomfortable to the point where they'd willingly want to leave. But then again I'm just crazy...
Just a thought..... ______________________________________________
