<div id="yiv62099810">Sorry, you can't make hyperlinked text in etherpad :-(. But you can in Hackpad (<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://hackpad.com/">https://hackpad.com</a>), a fork of etherpad. That might be a solution for you. Try it out.<div><br><div><br>

a lot! I'm glad to be clear on this point. We will go by the edit
history as Liz is suggesting or we will have to come up with some other
idea. I have had a look at the etherpad or rather other services of this
type before, however I have had some issues with them (I think that I
needed to copy a text which had links in it (you just clicked on the
highlighted words and it opened the associated link) and they basically
disappeared, it transfered just a text and I had to add the links all again).
But I will have a look it could be just my mistake and in this case it would be not so important.</span><br></div><div> <br>Once more thanks,<br><br>Sincerely,<br><br></div><div>Frantisek Algoldor Apfelbeck<br><br></div>

<div>Colored author text would be a simply wonderful feature. Unfortunately it isn't an option. I saw something on a google forum recently saying how it wasn't a feature. (and it kinda bugs me since Google Docs uses some technology from Etherpad which DOES have that feature). <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://etherpad.com/">Etherpad.com</a> doesn't exist any more but you might want to find another etherpad service and play with that. Though Etherpad won't have all the text formatting capabilities of Google Docs.<div>
<br></div><div>In related news, there is no way to see where a live edit is happening in Google Docs or Etherpad. This is important (and annoying) when you are trying to follow along as someone edits a document and their cursor "disappears", actually they might be editing the document on the next screen.</div>

<span>I
have one technical question. We are starting with several friends to
work on a book about makgeolli (traditional Korean alcoholic rice
beverage) using Google docs. If we have one shared file, is there an
option to dedicate to each author a colour, like for example me green,
"Dan blue?" I have found that we can put in comments in different colours
and we can change the colour of the text, but the second has to be done
word by word or imput by imput rather than just to log in and write
immediatelly in green respectively blue.</span></div><div style="font-style:normal;font-size:16px;background-color:transparent;font-family:bookman old style, new york, times, serif;"><br><span></span></div><div style="font-style:normal;font-size:16px;background-color:transparent;font-family:bookman old style, new york, times, serif;">

suggestions are welcome! If it is possible share a link where is it
explained properly or describe! I have tried to find a proper
