<div dir="ltr">Awesome, thanks! The more I look at the Cameo, I think I can convince us to buy one at work, so I may do that and just play with that. Glad to know though that if I need a stencil and don't feel like etching my own I can always take a trip up to NB and try the vinyl cutter.<br>

The Silhouette Cameo seems to have a maximum pressure of 210g -
while our cutter claims 600g of pressure. I wasn't able to find
great specifications for the Cameo. So it should work just fine,
but I'm not sure. We're cutting 3mil vinyl with absolutely no
trouble.<br>

<div dir="ltr">Just saw an article on Hackaday about cutting PCB
stencils with a little hobby cutter, but the writer suggested
that a "normal" vinyl cutter (<a href="http://www.uscutter.com/USCutter-MH-Series-Vinyl-Cutter-w-Sure-Cuts-A-Lot-Pro-Design-Cut-Software" target="_blank">like
this</a>, and I think like the new one we got) might work
better. Anyone have an idea if this new cutter could cut 4mil
mylar for fine pitch SMT parts? If the answer is "maybe" I might
investigate (thought I rarely have time to visit the city), or
if anyone else wants to investigate, I can provide sample PCB
stencil files to play with in whatever format.
