<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;">A press kit usually includes the following:<br>- several "packages" of commonly-referenced information, such as history, past events, notable mentions in the media in the past, names of officers/directors<br>- a list of contacts within the organization for specific information (such as the person in charge of fundraisers, the person in charge of newsletters, the person in charge of specific types of events, etc.)<br>- a list of contacts within the media: newspapers, television, etc.; journalists, photographers, videographers, bloggers; lead times/deadlines/print times for each outlet; recommended (by the media outlet) formats; and so on<br><br>The purpose of a press kit is to facilitate fast, effective communication. It needs to be accessible to anyone in charge of promotion or publicity. And it needs to be kept up to date for the next person who needs to use
