<div dir="ltr">Not sure how/why this was forwarded. Most users of Linux and various other open source operating systems use the package management of their distribution to install GPG or other tools. They handle updates, including security fixes/backports of features. I am sure people who use libgcrypt from source are on their mailing list themselves so they can keep up to date. For the rest who use gentoo/ports/pkgsrc, it is most likely already updated and you just need to update your sources and recompile. </div>

The GNU project is pleased to announce the availability of Libgcrypt<br>
version 1.5.2. This is a maintenance release for the stable branch.<br>

Libgcrypt is a general purpose library of cryptographic building<br>
blocks. It is originally based on code used by GnuPG. It does not<br>
provide any implementation of OpenPGP or other protocols. Thorough<br>
understanding of applied cryptography is required to use Libgcrypt.<br>

* Made the Padlock code work again (regression since 1.5.0).<br>

* Fixed alignment problems for Serpent.<br>
