<div dir="ltr">It's not a night vs day thing. Nights are usually super awesome. Some of the sketchiest behavior happened on Saturday afternoon.<div><br></div><div>It's more of a hacker conference somewhere else in the world thing. Every time a hacker event draws people out of San Francisco, there aren't as many regular Noisebridgers around to hold it down. This month saw 2 big conferences, as well as the shutdown of other community space in town.</div>
<div><br></div><div>It's like the perfect storm of oogles. It's very much part of Noisebridge's rhythm. I predict another one during 30c3 this December. We can be ready for it this time by increasing docent commitments during that time. The docents are a very good idea I think. Regular nights tend to be very relaxed. People work on things, lots of conversations. One or two supremely sketchy people might wander up the stairs. If there is nobody to stop them, many more may arrive on their heels.</div>
<div><br></div><div>As far as my own criteria for asking people to leave, it's not a <span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">homeless and mentally ill issue so much as an issue of respecting the people of the space and the space itself. If any person can't do those things, then they aren't necessarily able to stay at Noisebridge. I'd say we are more accepting than most. Many housed, sane people can't accomplish this. Excellence is a higher bar than don't be a douche, and I certainly think I give people enough rope (metaphorically of course).</span></div>

I was going to noisebridge this weekend in the early morning or early afternoon hours. It was pretty chill.<br>
