Hi Nick, Johny,

When I asked Johny off-list whether it was necessary to use the verb "raped", I did so simply to ask him the question, without meaning much judgement by it. I don't think people, especially men that regularly attend a hackerspace that is meant to be inclusive to everyone, should use such a charged word. I think it takes away from the quality of the post and distracts from the content, if there was any.

I've used charged language alot in my life, at the expense of making people uncomfortable, and without much feedback. I am trying not to do so anymore, because I don't think it's productive. When someone else does, I'm going to continue asking them to think about it or discourage them from doing so.
