<div dir="ltr">You don't use "they/them" when referring a generic person in the third-person? Like "I just took someone's seat, I hope they don't mind"? That sounds correct to me; not sure why it doesn't work when referring to someone specific.</div>

<br>The plural pronoun "they" is unacceptable reference to someone/thing singular.<br><br>Forgive my previous wording.  Just trying to fit in with a bit of gratuitous profanity that seems so customary here though I do find it offensive.<br>
