Only one other person has ever recognized it in my life. Thanks, though I expected it here.

Documentation. Documentation. Documentation.

When someone asks a question at synhak, I answer and tell them to throw it on the wiki with the same question they asked. Wildly successful so far. I also am working on a system of QR codes for everything, among other neat space management tools as part of my Spiff project:

> Do-acracy is a pretty good general principle, you want to form a space that encourages people to take initiative. I'd warn highly against using consensus as the decision-making process. It's sort of the Noisebridge electoral college, and not something I'd like to see other spaces mimic. Giving each member a unilateral veto works well enough when a group is small, but it doesn't scale and discourages adding new members to a space. Currently I believe Noisebridge has around 30 or so active members, which is smaller than it had in its first year. A lot of people got burned out.

Nice to know. I think we have ~20 members who can participate in governance, but only big decisions go through our form of consensus. We have some members who are very focused on ensuring fairness and conflict resolution. Additionally, we are trying to figure out a pattern of "Maintainers", based on how open source works.

My day job is working in FOSS, so I'm quite familiar with how that works. Seems to be going well enough. I'll probably be around on Monday and Tuesday if you see me.

The friend I was with was discussing implementing a Community Working Group based on the same from KDE. Its something I hope to build at SYNHAK and put into our bylaws with other amendments at our February board meeting. He hopes to do the same for the space he's helping to start in the area, Norton Imperial Labs.
