<div dir="ltr">I think this happens with online communities as well. Reddit was previously a place to discuss science & politics. Now it's mostly filled with pun or funny posts of people trying to one-up with every reply. The first year of the Hacker Dojo was probably similar to noisebridge as well -- we had great events & visitors. Jeri Ellsworth came by to show off her stuff and take questions for example, but now we've only had mostly "valley" meetup groups who need a venue.<div>

address on the previous mail?<br><br>The poster (who raises good points, many of which I agree with) is using<br>a pseudonym making a reference to an early episode in Noisebridge's<br>history. My response provides an opportunity for someone who is curious<br>
about the events, but wasn't there to experience it firsthand, to learn<br>more about the history being referenced.<br><br>I didn't out
them, nor even try to do so.<br><br>Also, I was making a reference to an old Usenet gag which has been<br>reprised many times since in various fora, and probably was a rerun of<br>an inside joke from the era of classified ads or something.<br>
