The problem IS the trackpad. Trying to fix my 900 netbooks I have
found Dragsens <a href="http://www.parkscomputing.com/2013/12/">(http://www.parkscomputing.com/2013/12/)</a>.
Reset the vertical and horizontal sensitivity from about 4 pixels to
something like 20. It helps. 3 cheers for Mr. Parks. I don't know
why the program isn't better known. A lot of people have the
problem.<br>

Did you solve this?
<br>
<br>
I experienced this on Windows, and it was caused by my hand
unintentionally touching the mousepad while typing.
<br>
<br>
Claudia, on Windows, the fix is this small freeware, works great:

<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://touchpad-blocker.com/download/">http://touchpad-blocker.com/download/</a>

maybe something similar is available for Mac? might even be built
in setting...

I've been getting good at that too. I am suspecting that I am
getting my hand on the mousepad / trackpad? as I type. If you are
using a desktop or keyboard without a mouse in the middle then
that blows my whole theory.
