<p>i've done some pretty weird DIY power, light, and water controls around the house. what are you hoping to do? my next project is a passive infrared sensor to turn on a kitty litter exhaust fan. if you need something that connects to the cloud without any additional hardware, i recommend an Electric Imp. not the cheapest and the setup procedure is annoying since you flash the wifi credentials optically from a phone or tablet, but after that i was able to send texts at the push of a button on the device.</p>
