What's the plan for the frontpage revamp? I learned earlier this
morning that it's somehow done in mediawiki (didn't know that was a
thing). I was going to recommend working on translations for the
front-end because it's more stable than the typical 'manual info'
that get's updated in noisebridge's wiki, but I guess the whole
thing is a wiki. Have people discussed making a more solidified
'app' of our landing page? <br>

If we have the content somewhere on github, we'll still have write
access, it's just more involved getting PRs into master, and doing
code rollouts/ content updates. <br>

If you want to make other languages happen on the
Noisebridge wiki, while being non-disruptive to the
usability of the site, I'd be way into it. You'll need

Spanish front page, what
happens if someone edits the
English one? Then you have
out-of-date information.<br>

someone to translate all of

I think a better approach
would be to make sure the
copy on the pages you’re
interested in
internationalizing still
read well when sent through
an online translator. Unless
you have some sort of
deep-seated resentment
against Google’s free
services, I don’t see why
Google Translate is such a
bad idea for a page with
non-colloquial English
phrasing.<br>
