<p dir="ltr">Bullshit. Noisebridge is still in the USA. The police have jurisdiction there. There are lots of reasons to call the police short of a violent person. While in this case it may not have been appropriate. I am tired of the anti police bias at Noisebridge. Most cops are honest people who put themselves in harms way to help people. I don't think that calling the police should be used to kick people out. That is unless you like atracting thieves and predators. Because I am sure noise bridges anti police mentality attracts them. Of course we could just keep blaming all noisebrdges problems on "street rats" like a fucking Disney villain.</p>

At one point at 83c we were talking about how to remove problem people from the space. I suggested calling the cops to have them removed. I was told no, this was not OK, and internal solutions were required for anything short of physical violence in the space.</span></div>

etc. She cleans up all the time, she organized the library, pushes
non-hackers to clean up when they leave messes and complains to
them when they don't clean up, and she has worked the door for me
as greeter multiple times when i've organized hacking events. She
never creates drama.<br>

Saying "calling the cops is not excellent" as a blanket statement
is not legit, as members and others have called the cops many
times to deal with threatening or inappropriate people. <br>

Whether it's appropriate to call the cops for almost throwing away
her bag is maybe not, but you did almost discard her belongings
without first giving her a chance to claim them. Yeah, she
over-reacted, but she was not trying to cause trouble.<br>
