[Sem] SEMs

I quite like playing with SEMs. I do this often as part of stuff I do
outside of nb.
Some issues to consider,
SEMs are extremely delicate tools. It's really really important that
samples be properly prepared before being placed in the SEM, as things
that have gas/liquid pockets(like bugs) tend to explode when placed in
a high vacuum environment.

Not sure what kinda of vacuum this one operates at, I think Mike said
it was a ~10^-5 torr sem with a fixed (10keV?) acceleration voltage.
This is better for imaging things that are decently conductive...
though not exclusively for... conductive things...

Should read...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scanning_electron_microscope

Should prob have its own room with some kind of filtration.
Will probably need an N2, or Ar cylinder for back fill gas.

I will not really be nb accessible until the fourth week of January...
For the record, if the SEM needs a place to live NOW, and NB can't
provide the above, I can house.
