Hi Dani,
We should communicate about what you would like to do with the SEM 
before trying to operate it. I am not sure what the current status is of 
the machine at Noisebridge --it's probably been a year or more since I 
was over there but I know basically how it runs. An alternative might be 
my new desktop SEM at UCSF for a small defined project. The biggest 
issue for me is time and I'm only available in the evenings and 
occasional weekends. The SEM can be fun and with a good smaple and 
proper preparation it can give very nice images.
