[Build] Items to touch base on with the landlord

   there should be a place that sells standard 
burglar alarm stuff (for windows and doors, bell 
box, etc.). i expect it would be a small hack to 
tie such in to a computer so's to send an alarm 
email if something's triggered (probably such 
exists as a commercial product).
