yeah. bill and dr j mentioned this too. i didn't look at all the
inter-plank spaces, but most stretches seemed sealed enough to catch
sewing needles (ie, i didn't see light from downstairs).

i was only trying to say that the current planking is such that thinking
about sanding/finishing as 'pretty' is going to be tough because of the
amount of material you'd have to take off in the process.
