   home depot gives 100% of its political contributions 
to the republican party. i'd rather buy from another 
place. lowes has paint at the same prices as home depot. 
   best to blow on oil- or alcohol-based coating for a 
first coat, then a flat enamel (the more the sheen, the 
more surface irregularities show; flat shows the least; 
enamel is tougher, more washable than non-enamel)
