Ok, got my tickets.

Dec 24 - SFO -> AMS - TXL
Jan  9 - AMS -> SFO

A friend of mine has a contact in berlin that has an apartment that might 
be available for rent.  I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I'll be taking trains to visit other cities on my way to AMS to fly back 
to SFO.
