I've been using this guy, Vlad, who's a total wiz at airline ticketry.  He's been getting round trip tickets this week for people on my Hacker Trip To China: 340 EUR! 

If he can get you a significant savings, he charges $25 to $90.  If he can't save you at least that much, he doesn't charge.

Another unusually cheap route is LAX to Copenhagen, Denmark[0] - $639 for 9th to 18th Aug

That'd mean getting down to LA, and then return flights CPH->BER (can be under $100 return trip[1]).

Taking the Norwegian OAK->OSL route here but discovered the Copenhagen one the other day.

Also Norwegian Air still has a few cheap tickets, that are even cheaper

if you buy them in EURO instead of USD.
