GAH, no Linux support for the vx-7r that I've found (as of 6months
ago)... I had to use windows, and I tried both the free(beer)
programming utilities that I found. They both had their own buggyness,
but after some poking, I was able to get both utilities to work. I
bought my cable from a 3rd party ham guy, it works, it has nice clean
terminations.

Will find more details when I dig it up at home, can even bring cable
by NB if KF6YHX doesn't still have it. CQ KF6YHX, you around?
