[CQ] Radio/Antenna possibilities?

I'd go for a long wire. You could tune it up on whatever band had the most action that day, you wouldn't have to worry about high voltage at the far end and, most importantly, you wouldn't have to lift a ton of heavy, expensive, and lossy feedline in the air. Just get a 500' spool of teflon hookup wire or something like that and use it as kite string, then run another length across the ground as a counterpoise. It's probably the least visually interesting option, but it would be easy and versatile.
Have fun...
Clint

They float at a few kilovolts when you're transmitting at just 100W, and your kite is going to be wobbling around unless it's carefully tethered? it's a safety nightmare at the kite festival, but something I'd love to do at some point (http://forums.qrz.com/showthread.php?61367-Dipole-voltage)
