[Cyborg] vibro vest (needs a better name)

I'm getting really inspired by
https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Compass_Vibro_Anklet, those guys really
have it together. So far my understanding is that people working on the
vest are me, Mike, Christie; have I missed anyone who's planning on
working on the eyes-in-back thing? For Maker Faire?

Let's get a little better organized! I'm going to be away this weekend
but can do some work before and after I return. Specifically, I have
the board & code that Lamont wrote last weekend to play with; this at
least is helping me understand coding for the Arduino and PWM in
general. I'm not sure I will make any direct progress on the vest, but
here's my thinking on that:

We need sensors, armature, display. One big task is to figure out what
kind of sensor would work best, and to do that we probably need better
definition of what 'working' and 'best' mean. I ordered a couple
ultrasonic transceivers in the last bulk Digikey order, and I have an IR
sensor somewhere & there are the PIR boards upstairs, so there are
several potential options that need evaluation.

Armature I can whip up any time; maybe I should throw together a first
pass just to have something to attach the display to?

Display, for prototype 1, has got to be motors because to be in time for
Maker Faire I think we'll only be able to solve one Hard problem, which
has got to be the sensor one.

Code seems to me to have two main parts: translating the sensor data,
and managing the display. I don't think we're ready to work on that yet.

Anyone want to claim any particular bits that interest them?

Anyone want to gather & chat about any/all of that?

I'll be at NB tomorrow evening probably around 7, working on the PWM
code, and then I'll be out of town until Tuesday.

Rachel
