Really awesome, but the amount of work to achieve it is crazy - years of 
work, months of training.  1GB of data from the implant every 3 minutes; 
which they process to figure out what signals he is trying to send.  And 
apparently the implanted electrodes are slowly being encapsulated by his 
brain, and thus becoming non-functional (though the vague "some" isn't 
precise enough for us to tell how bad this problem is - like, will it be 
non-functional in another year, or ten years?).  The stimulating array 
of 130 electrodes on his forearm is also really impressive, that's a LOT 
of ribbon cable wires!
