we didn't do much/any ladder acrobatics, but the switches should be
'done'. teh quotes are there because someone was talking about using
some sort of switches that had latches to prevent accidental
overexposure of work-in-progress, but the current switches are all the
normal kind.

from the door the switches are:

 - light over and outside door
 - as yet unconnected fan circuit towards left, front
 - lgiht on left, front
 - lights on either side of the rear
