[Fab] Laser cutter

Hello Fabbers,

New guy here: I understand from a coworker that y'all have a largely functional laser cutter...can it cut 1/4" plywood? 1/8"?

If so, I'd love to come by, throw some dollars in the jar, and play with it a little. I'd probably want someone who knows their way around it to give me an introduction, maybe I can arrange to meet somebody?

I just finished my latest machine (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7REmfZ6O5U) and after cutting all those gears on a scroll saw I'm ready for a computer assist :-)
