True. However, there is a lot of finished products which are compostable
but look & feel like plastic, so it might slip by even if it's unlabelled.
Sorting/filtering compost may be more automatic than manual, though, so I
can't say for sure where it would wind up unless I read up on the machines
used...

I read that it takes twice as long but you CAN break down PLA in a home
compost heap - 6 months vs. 3 months. Would be neat if someone can try it
out & verify. You probably need a real compost heap and do more than just
bury it in the backyard. :3
