[Hackability] Thanks for coming yesterday

Hey thanks to all who came yesterday to NB for some scooter hacking!  I look forward to a future one, especially with a less crowded NB.  Ian, if you want to work on soldering that stuff sometime in the near future I would be happy to help.  If you want, we could even do some work in my garage (I have a full electronics tool setup at home) in the outer Mission which could be a much quieter and convenient workspace.

Best,
Zach

Hi Ron,
Thanks for the introduction email!  A group of us will be meeting this Sunday, Sept 30th at 2pm at Noisebridge (2169 Mission Street, SF, 94110- near 18th Street)  for the first time to share hacks and ideas for the hackibility future.  Would be wonderful to have you there.  I plan on showing people a lot of different cool hacks I've learned including USB charging port, functional comfort changes, charging circuits and types of batteries/chargers to buy and where, cruise-control driving for those of us with wrist pain, and more.
 hope to see you there,
Zach

hi everybody,

My name is Ron Sidell and I have just joined the hackability
distribution list. My main interests relative to this group are in
things like hacking my wheelchair, and in making unexpected devices
easier to use for people with motor disabilities. So that includes
turning my nook color e-book reader into a fully functional android
tablet. I also have plans to experiment with the raspberry pi device to
see if I can make it do things that are both interesting and useful.
And I am also extremely interested in computer security and privacy.

In my spare time, I help run a server that provides services to
nonprofits and the disabled, and I am the CEO of a small nonprofit
organization called Ophoenix Public benefit Corporation. Our website is
terribly out of date but you can get an idea of what we are about by
checking out our website. My personal twitter feed is
https://twitter.com/RonSidell

I've probably already said too much so I will now stop dictating to
Dragon MacSpeech, which I blame for all typos :-)

I look forward to brainstorming and exchanging ideas with this group.
Cheers,
Ron
