I was trying to get the two papers

Bamber, Donald, I. R. Goodman, and H. T. Nguyen. 2004. "Deduction from
Conditional Knowledge." *Soft Computing* 8: 247–255.

Goodman, I. R., R. P. S. Mahler, and H. T. Nguyen. 1999. "What is
conditional event algebra and why should you care?" *SPIE Proceedings*, Vol
3720.

There are some services which let you download if you have an account which
is often usually provided if you have an academic affiliation.

These papers are about making better sense of things that conditional
probabilities are used for (ie Bayesian methods). They are often combined
with standard probability and logic for intelligent analysis of uncertain
data. Or something like that.

I was reading a bit in an book by Goodman and Nguyen but is older and
pretty heavy abstract math. Looking for something a bit more accessible and
practical.

This is about reasoning under uncertainty for knowledge based systems ....
