Hi Folks,

My friend Pearl Chen is coming down from Toronto to teach an "Arduino
+ Android" workshop!
It is happening at Noisebridge next Tuesday evening, January 17, 6:30 - 9:00 pm.

Here's a bit of the description:
Android Open Accessory support opens up the ability of your Android
device to accept input from common external USB hardware such as
keyboards, mice, and game controllers. Even more exciting for the
hardware hobbyist is the ability to use the Android Open Accessory
APIs to control USB devices, including the popular Arduino
microcontroller.

This 2.5-hour, hands-on workshop will focus on allowing Android/Java
developers the opportunity get their hands dirty with the fundamentals
of electronics and the Android Open Accessory APIs. The workshop will
give you the chance to get acquainted with a variety of basic
electronic components such as LEDs, motors, sensors, and the
Arduino-based ADK.
Enrollment is capped at 8 attendees so you're guaranteed to get
individual attention.

The workshop will cost $250. This includes a couple pieces of
hardware, including the ADK microcontroller board.

If you are interested in this workshop, please check the event page
for more information and signup:

Enjoy,
