Hi, Noisebridge! We added a new class at 7pm on February 6, 2014
Intro to HTML5 Canvas With a Game
We're gonna make a small game with HTML canvas to get the impression of possible usecases
Since this class conflicts with [Intro to Databases at HackCville](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/intro-to-databases-tickets-10263677937), I figured we'd tackle a move advanced front-end topic, and also steal a successful class from our friends in San Francisco.
[HTML5 Canvas](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canvas_element) is a relatively new technology of in-browser graphics rendering. We will use coffeescript and rails to see how it can be used and integrated by creating a simple game/app. Please have rails installed.
Also you may want to take a look at this [nice manual](http://jlongster.com/Making-Sprite-based-Games-with-Canvas)
In San Francisco, they created [a whack-a-mole type game](http://cockroach.herokuapp.com/) but we can make our game a little more cvillized.
