[Noisebridge-announce] Noisebridge is ON FIRE!!! And we need your help!!!!

Hello!

It is Noisebridge's fundraising bot here!

First, I should say the above subject line fire is in fact entirely
metaphorical*, in that Noisebridge is doing UNUSUALLY WELL right now!
SUSPICIOUSLY WELL! We're doing lots of cool stuff, with lots of members
and some money in the bank. Just this week we had an amazing DIY Voice
Crusher workshop and our NGALAC is predictably playable. We're "on
fire", in quotes! No-one is literally alight!

How are you? Also not on fire I hope?

Great! Because we have a little thing to ask. 

Despite the current non-flammablity, Noisebridge will next year be
facing one of those regular "our tenancy agreement is up, will our
landlord decide to replace us with fifteen blockchain startups that
have promised to pay them in lucrative, yet, hypothetical currency?"
moments.

An equally metaphorical, yet "bad" kind of "fire".

This is always threatening to happen! And next year we fear it will
happen for real, we will have to leave San Francisco, and it will be
like Watership Down or Battlestar Galactica only EVEN SADDER.

So!

We have decided to get ahead of ourselves, and have hatched a CRAZY
2019 IDEA THAT MIGHT JUST WORK. 

You are part of it!

Noisebridge is going to raise four million dollars, and buy a permanent
home in San Francisco. 

Shut up! We are!

For hackerspacing and tech fiddling and cyber making and whatever you
and your friends and your kids and their kids would like to do here.
Forever.

Seriously, we have it planned with proper professional experts and
everything (said experts may not have seen this email before we sent it
out).  

The whole thing is pretty complicated, but here's what you need to
know:

1) We are not asking you for $4 million dollars **

2) We are not even asking you for $40 **

3) We *are* asking you for $10 or what you have. $1. Whatever. See
   below.

4) And we're asking you, before the end of the year to ask a few of
   your friends to give us some money too. $10, $1. Anything!

Why? Because the road to a new forever home for Noisebridge has to
start somewhere. And for us, it starts with a $15,000 fundraising goal
(and 100 new donors) for Noisebridge before the end of the year. 

Our new experts say that if we do that, then we'll know that there's a
bunch of people out there who like you, want Noisebridge to keep being
on (metaphorical) fire, and pass that fire on to a new generation of
San Franciscans -- not to mention hackers all around the world who look
to Noisebridge for inspiration.
