electronics:
i put a sleeve of 60 8 pin DIP sockets in the
shared shelf (same shelf as the resisters etc.).
you can use two of them jammed together for a
16 pin (or 14 pin) DIP IC.
in the workshop there's a blue storage with
many small drawers, a few of which have stuff in
them, many of which seem empty. is this storage
box for all of us to use?
in the shared shelf there is a storage box
with three drawers for capacitors: 1uF, 0.1 uF,
and 0.01 uF (if i recall correctly). seems to
me helpful to have a broader range of caps, but
where to put them?

ubuntu:
upstairs in the book shelves there is now a
copy of The Official Ubuntu Book, second edition,
which has a Ubuntu 7.04 DVD in it.
this may be useful for people who are not way
current and expert in the latest linux jive but
would like to use linux (ubuntu) computers. good
basic stuff.
yes, it's a year and a half old, but the
basics are the same.
