In other news, I heard some people asking about such a device so I
just dropped off a spare USB->serial adapter. The FTDI chipset is
great and support by a ton of OS's (drivers may need to be downloaded
for things like windows and OSX but they're kept up to date).
Hopefully it will come in handy for those who wanted it!
