My friend Arvind Narayanan is visiting this week from Austin, Texas. He
is a grad student working on cryptography, privacy, and security. You
might have seen his work on "de-anonymizing the Netflix Prize data set,"
in which he and his colleagues showed that you could identify people
just from their movie ratings. His page is
