i like them for playing w/ connectors. i tended to string wires randomly
from the protoboard to a connector (like usb). this usually meant that i
broke the leads off a few times when (de)attaching :-)

however, i think that their selection is a little limitted to
interfacing to other stuff they sell. not that there's anything wrong w/
that.

anyway, one problem w/ surface mount bits (even w/ the link i sent
before) is dealing w/ weirder bits and remembering to check all the
package form-factors. who knew that ssop parts w/ the same # of pins can
have different pin pitches? well, not me.
