   how about those interested in helping out with
electrical work meet wednesday between 6 pm and 8 pm?
i can make that time.
   i might be able to make a time during the day on
wednesday, tho' i can't say for sure just what time
yet. (maybe breakfast or lunch? pipe up.)
   meeting should be at 2169 so we can look at what
we've got to do.
   the first jobs are to
* map the circuits
* raise the ceiling lights above the top of the
barrier walls (all of which will be removed)
* remove electrical pipe, boxes, and flex from the
barrier walls
* remove flex from exterior walls
* maybe replace some receptacles
* improve the wiring in the sub-panels

   if you've never worked with electrical stuff and
want to learn a bit, you're welcome.
   tools needed are three sizes of screw driver:
one for #6 (used with switches and receptacles),
one for #8 (used with junction boxes and conduit
fittings), and a large one to remove panel covers.
you can do a lot with just the #6.
   paper, pen or pencil, some kind of markers
(colored tape or permanent or other ink...) are
also needed.

   long nose pliers are handy as are wire cutters
(not the kind used for electronic work, bigger).
   a multi-meter helps determine which wires are
connected to what.
   if you've got some kind of portable signal
generator, that might be useful ('specially the
kind that's got a receiver: put the generator on
the end of a wire then run around with the receiver
to determine where that wire goes).
